The standard double room we stayed in was beautifully maintained and extremely pleasant with good equipment. Location: the hotel was right by the center of old town, and attractions in the old quarter...

stayed in perfectly clean and cheap deluxe room with the balcony. an electronic key card, a work desk, and a flat-screen tv with cable channels were perfect. the staff was welcoming and honest at all times.

Everybody is very happy and helpful.
The staff all have a sales pitch to adhere to and my paperwork was given a thorough going over so that he could plan a sales pitch at me. This gets to you after a while, ie. what have you been doing today? for them to come back with...."well tomorrow you can do this and that and the other..." it's gets tiring and it get too much for us. You can tell what's happening when reception has a resident "Tour Operator Desk" next door to it! Room was damp smelling and the roads were absolutely chaotic!

Perfect location, a few steps from Ocean Tours who can sort you out for tours of Halong Bay and right in the middle of the Old Quarter. Walking in any direction will let you see old Hanoi easily. Almost all hotels in Indochina make a commission on sorting out transport, tours, etc, but this one is at least a little less pushy about it. Internet access is easily available.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great spot I old quater of Hanoi for the price. They arrangede our Tours from Hanoi, taxi to and from airport, maybe a with a little higher cost but it was well spent. A very good hotel for the price.
The breakfast was poor, we dont like warm orangejuice! There there should be more different breads, not only dry toastbread. (But I didnt spoile our stay)

Golden Wings II hotel’s location is excellent for exploring the Old Quarter, with restaurants, local eateries and tour agencies along the same street. It is also about 5 minutes to the Water Puppets Theatre and Hoai Kiem Lake. It's a pretty hotel which is clean with basic amenities. Breakfast and hi-speed internet is provided, elevator. Hotel staff are friendly. Overall, no complaints for the affordable price.

I stayed in Hanoi for three nights and this hotel was very good. The breakfast was one of the best ones we had in Vietnam with really good with a good choice of food and drinks,. The service excellent with nothing being too much trouble. My room was comfortable and quiet. On walking out of the hotel you are right in the hustle bustle of city life and most things are only a short walk away. The hotel might be expensive by Vietnam standards but no more than a cheapish B&B in the UK. Book well in advance though if you don't want to be disappointed. This also applies to internal flights which we used to save time. Flights generally need to be booked about two to three weeks in advance if you want half decent availability or pay over the odds.I just about managed it with a weeks notice but occasionally ended up paying higher fares and wasted time there with bookings. Highly recomence this Hotel.
